This past weekend was jam packed with goodness. I put my camera down (except for my father’s old Konica and some rolls of 1600 slide film) and just enjoyed the absolutely glorious weather. Saturday, in particular, was amazing. We had a wonderful breakfast at Janelle’s new home in Cobble Hill. Delicious eggs, potatoes, coffee, orange juice in a sun-soaked garden.
We then took the Staten Island Ferry and a long bus ride to a cheesy Tiki-bar and had drinks out of real pineapples. The ferry ride to and from Staten Island was perfect, with one of the best days weather-wise that I’ve ever had in New York, and the sun setting behind the statue of liberty on the way back.
Then Hookah, and then a going away party. After a long day I got back to my apartment in Harlem at close to 5 AM and felt alive and energized despite my exhaustion. I ventured up to the top of our apartment and took a few photos from the roof…
