I have some really fun stuff coming up… in the mean time, here’s a little throwback to my early Loose Luggage days…

Last July I bought an old, worn-out, terrible skateboard for 2 dollars from a 9 year old kid while going on a drive in Wisconsin. I took the thing back to my grandparents, and went to work on it:

I sanded like crazy… and then stained and lacquered it.  It gave it a great antique look.

I carried the completed deck by plane, train, car, and bus, to northern Maine where I finally bought a set of trucks for it at a hockey shop in Brewer.

I made the final touches at my cousin’s taxidermy shop… The board is currently taped off at my folks place in Michigan and ready to be detailed.  I’ll keep you all posted.
