I would try to tell them but I wouldn’t do them justice. Poet, Aaron Belz, put it well:
There is a story that has no imagery to
go along with it. It is a story of a farmer
and his wife, alone in a farmhouse, deep
in an Oklahoman night. What they
do, how they busy themselves, etc.
Yet there is no pictorial imagery
associated with this story, so the would-
be publisher is not exactly interested.
She says she needs something seeable.
I don’t know, I think the story itself
is seeable. As far as I’m concerned,
it’s almost smellable. Maybe I’m weird.
By the way, the song of the morning for me is Cat Power’s cover of The Velvet Underground‘s “I Found A Reason.”
Story #1 is about a yellow rose on the front stoop of an apartment building on Jane Street in the West Village.
Story #2 is an old man, sitting alone at a bar.
Story #3 is an abandoned egg in a nest of fur branches.

this post sums you up in a way — your ability to tell a story with just one image and not saying anything else at all. love it.
yep…ya just gotta open your eyes…there are stories everywhere…love it!
