My internet is about to run out, but I just wanted to check in. I haven’t taken any photos since I’ve been here… which has been good. I needed a little break after Istanbul. I’ll have something up tomorrow, I promise. In the mean time I’ve had a great time with my friend Ben and his parents, Barb and Pete who have been so generous already. I’m staying with them through the month of December and January in Ealing, a borough of London.
In the mean time, here’s a gift from my friend Emily Weiss. She gave it to her friends for Christmas and she gave me permission to regift it. It’s a cover she did of Sufjan’s Christmas song “Sister Winter.”
Sister Winter (cover of Sufjan Stevens)
She took some photos of my first trip to Europe that are my only record of that trip because my photos were all stolen:
And here’s a photo she took at Coachella (music festival in California):

…if i were in London today, i would head on over to Harrod’s just to feel the elbows in my side and crush of people as i jostled my way down the food aisles on the lower level… then i’d go get a pub lunch and visit the National Gallery… then i’d walk over to Covent Garden… well anyway, i’m jealous!!!

Harrods (no apostrophe)… “ground level” not lower level… and what’s a “congestion charge”?? Anyway, i’ll be expecting one of their nice holiday hampers via express mail
