Christmas in London.

Yesterday I had a yule of a time. The holiday goodies were over-flowing here on the Great Island of the United Kingdom. From a massive sausage-stuffed Christmas bird, to piles of savory entrees, (including a delectable pear-salad covered in walnuts and blue-cheese sauce), bricks and bricks of cheese and biscuits and tea and profiteroles and wine. It was quite the meal.

There were nine of us around the table of explosive goodness. Literally, explosive.  You start the meal with poppers that everyone links hands holding and pulls apart.  A loud noise and various prizes fall out.  Later the Christmas pudding is brought and set alight.

8 Britains and 1 American. It was Christmas magic.

Hope you all had a wonderful day as well. From across the pond, cheers and peace!

After a long day of eating I went for a walk through the winding streets of West London. The streets were empty and the air was mild. It was a great way to walk off all of that food (a little) and enjoy the London night air.
