Rothko out the window. Somewhere in the American plains.

I usually don’t like shooting abstractions because it can tend to be a little bit of a cop-out for not really utilizing any skill (not always, but often). But some photos of sunsets on my friend Eric‘s blog the other day inspired me to shoot a couple abstractions out the window of my train the other day. I was watching freight trains pass on the track next to us with the sun light shining behind it and so I flashed a couple of random shots and caught some really odd, beautiful moments.
