This weekend the rains came but were completely welcome. The sea was high and stormy yet we didn’t complain. It was great and mysterious and yet somehow peaceful. There was a stillness to the sea despite the storm.
This weekend was rubber boots, flannels, hot coffee and tea, hats and scarfs, rocks and foamy surf, green-gray vistas, drizzly walks, odd-shaped driftwood, and the smell of salt in the air.
This weekend was friends. Laurel, Ashley, Jess and Jody (in no particular order). I was so thankful to be with such beautiful people– inside and out.
