Laurel, Jess and I had a great day yesterday escaping the rain at The Kennedy School, one of several hotel and/or restaurants and/or theatres and/or pubs owned by Mcmenamins. Check out all of the great Mcmenamins places in the northwest on their site. The Kennedy School in particular is an old high school that has been transformed (maintaining its original historical feel) into a hotel, restaurant, and movie theatre.
The movie we saw was terrible, but the experience was great. The movie theatre has drinks and pizza that you can purchase and rows of couches for seats:
Then we had some excellent food and cocktails at the courtyard restaurant:
