Over the past month and a half that I’ve been darting around the northwest, in-and-out of Ballard in Seattle, Jess and I have frequented this wonderful place. I must say that I’ve become a little bit addicted to their cupcakes. We nearly tried every one they offer– from the Lavender to the Red Velvet to the Triple Threat. The cake part is great, but its all about the frosting. In addition, Cupcake Royale is also a coffee shop (Veritas Coffee) with good coffee, fast, consistent wireless, and minimal crowds. I’ve sat in there working for hours and never had to deal with the crowds. If you’re in Ballard (or Seattle in general), you have to stop by for a Cupcake Royale cupcake and a coffee. Sit at the bar stools by the window and watch people dart around Ballard in the drizzling rain. It will make your day.
