I was blown away last night by Johnny Flynn, Laura Marling, and Mumford & Sons at the Tractor Tavern in Seattle last night. I went there to photograph the show and was absolutely floored by all 3 performances. I’ve already been a big fan of Johnny’s but Laura and M & Sons are now up there with him on my list. Laura’s hauntingly beautiful voice and tragic lyrics, and M & Sons driving and passionate folk ballads were equal to Johnny’s tremendous song-writing ability. It was a Brit-folk phenomenon that was over too soon. I’ve got loads of stuff for you all. Tons of photos and a couple videos. The video of Laura turned out pretty good but the Johnny video was a bad audio recording. I’m posting it anyway because the video itself is good if you can endure some of the distortion. You can buy Laura and Johnny’s albums on iTunes and get Mumford & Sons’ EP for free here.

Hey Adam! Was at the show last night and was equally blown away by Mumford and Sons. What an amazing night of incredible music! Your pictures are great, of course. It was nice to meet you and I will check in on your travels. Thank you for sharing your site.
Peace,

Hey there… the only way you know me from Adam is because you are Adam… I was actually tipped off about your site from Lisa (see above comment). Just had to say how much I enjoyed the photography– some great stuff! Original compositions & subtle nuances appreciated. As an aspiring photo-snapper I was just curious how you get such crisp shots in poor lighting… if you care to share. Cheers!

Hi there, just came across this from a link from Johnny Flynn’s Myspace. Beautiful photos. I was lucky enough to see him play at my school. I played on stage before and got to play the drummers (Matt) drums. Hopefully one day they will be famous enough for that to sound impressive. A Larum is probably the second best album of this year (after Fleet Foxes). Anyway, once again, lovely photos.
