Greetings from Eureka, CA

I don’t have any pictures to add today (except old backed up images that I’m procrastinating editing). Eureka (and the entire Northern California coast) is fantastic. It’s feeling like fall and chilly here. I’m at Old Town Coffee and Chocolates in old town Eureka. They have fast internet and great espressos. And last night I met some great folks who showed me around town and gave me a place to crash for the night. They took me to Lost Coast Brewery and Cafe. Incredible. Great atmosphere, amazing variety of micro-brews, and billiards.

I’m off to check the surf and see if I can get a sesh or two in before the end of the day. In honor of the near-arrival of fall I suggest you all try one or all of the following: (1) drink a warm beverage, (2) sit by a fire, (3) wear socks (most of you might already be doing this, but i rarely do, so its special) (4) listen to the new Cold War Kids album which comes out tomorrow!

  1. im enjoying looking at all your amazing shots along the coast.

Have you read Jack Kerouac’s, On The Road? might be a good one to pick up along the way.

  2. read “on the road.” also, Steinbecks “travels with charley” was another good on-the-road fav.

    thanks for the tip!
