Why did Jody and I stop and grab dinner at the Eola Inn in Salem, Oregon? Well, it wasn’t for the food. Wasn’t bad but wasn’t great either.
When I was in Fort Bragg, CA a few days ago I picked up a couple hitch hikers. They told me a story. A few weeks prior they were in Salem, Oregon and they were outside the Eola Inn on Highway 22 and someone from the Inn invited them in. He treated them to a huge feast of prime rib, mashed potatoes, coffee, and desert. He then gave them $20 bucks for the road and told them if they ever needed anything to just call. His name was Jason.
So I decided I had to check it out. I went to the Eola Inn with Jody when I got into Salem a few days later.
Incidentally there wasn’t anyone that worked at the restaurant named Jason.
