After a wonderful and productive couple of days in the Marin Headlands, I hitched a ride with Darla and her daughter Sydney as far as the Golden Gate Bridge and then hiked across. It was wonderful because the sky was thick with fog and the air incredibly chilly so I put Bob Dylan on my ipod, soaked in the sea air, and stared up at the huge red iron masterpiece towering above me. Along the way I met some of the workers who spend their life painting, repairing and maintaining the bridge. Here’s some shots of them, along with some shots of the bridge itself, piercing the fog.
